UniVision is a biweekly content series designed to bridge the information gap between Uniswap governance forum activities and social media platforms where most community members are active. The initiative transforms governance discussions, technical updates, and protocol developments into accessible, engaging content to inform UNI token holders about governance activities.
There remains a significant information vacuum between governance activities happening within the Uniswap forums and social media platforms like X where most community members spend their time. Many UNI holders remain unaware of key governance proposals, technical developments, and discussions simply because they don't regularly check governance forums or attend community calls.
This proposal addresses this critical information gap by bringing governance content directly to the platforms where community members are already active. By transforming complex governance information into accessible, engaging formats, UniVision ensures that important organizational activities aren't confined to governance forums that many users rarely visit.
UniVision will deliver biweekly content over a 3-month period, with the following content mix:
Main Video (1 per package):
Short-form Videos (4 per month):
Monthly Research Report (1 per month):
Accompanying Social Posts (4 per month):
We propose a monthly budget of 580 UNI for the 3-month engagement period.
| Category | Monthly Allocation | Details | 3-Month Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Research Writer | 230 UNI | $40/hr × ~30 hrs/month | 690 UNI |
| Content Editor | 155 UNI | $40/hr × ~20 hrs/month | 465 UNI |
| Video Production | 155 UNI | $50/hr × ~16 hrs/month | 465 UNI |
| Equipment & Software | 40 UNI | Camera rental, editing software licenses, graphic design tools | 120 UNI |
| Total | 580 UNI per month | 1,740 UNI |
(Received at 30 day moving average price)
The design of UniVision addresses the central problem: the information vacuum between governance forums and social media. Our multi-format approach ensures governance information reaches community members on the platforms they actually use, with content designed specifically for social consumption. By focusing on consistent, engaging content rather than simply reposting forum links, we create a sustainable bridge between governance activities and the broader community.
PYOR is an analytics and research firm focusing on governance, established in 2022. We bring specialized expertise in governance communication and community engagement.
Compound v3 Deep Dive: This comprehensive explainer breaks down Compound v3's evolution, architecture, and significance to DeFi lending. The video demonstrates our ability to translate complex protocol mechanics into accessible content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Arbitrum Governance Guide: This governance-focused video explores the Arbitrum DAO structure, operations, and participation methods. It showcases our expertise in breaking down governance systems into understandable components with clear guidance for community members.
EigenLayer & Restaking Explained: This educational video breaks down restaking and EigenLayer's revolutionary approach, covering staking fundamentals, EigenLayer's three trust pillars, and key advantages. The video demonstrates our ability to transform complex blockchain concepts into accessible, engaging content.
Linea Rollup Analysis: This research report examines Ethereum's fastest-growing zkRollup, highlighting our capacity to track emerging technologies and explain their technical differentiators and market positioning in accessible terms.
Unlike general content creators, we specialize in governance education and bring deep expertise in both the technical aspects of decentralized protocols and effective social media communication. We're ready to deliver immediate value to the Uniswap ecosystem by bridging this critical information gap.
Before full implementation, PYOR is prepared to create a sample video based on recent Uniswap governance activities at no cost. This would allow the Uniswap community to evaluate our approach, gauge interest, and determine the utility of video content for governance communication. Feedback from this trial would inform our final content strategy if the proposal is approved.
If this RFC receives positive community feedback, we will move forward with a formal Temperature Check proposal in accordance with Uniswap's governance process.
I appreciate any feedback, questions, or suggestions the community might have!

Hi, where can I find relevant information?
@Doo_StableLab @kpk Thank you for your feedback on our proposal. I understand there's overlap with Alpha Growth's marketing efforts. I'd like to discuss how we might complement existing work rather than duplicate efforts. We would like to schedule a brief call to understand and align with Uniswap's current pipeline. It’s been a few days since we posted our initial proposal, just wanted to follow up to check in with the community. We’re eager to refine our pitch based on community input so we can better align with the DAO’s goals and needs. Even brief thoughts or questions would be incredibly valuable at this stage and would help us understand if:

We appreciate the enthusiasm but do think even if we were to have a call, unfortunately, don't think we would consider it at the moment.
The podcast at the moment has 71 followers. But even if it had massive organic followers, we don't think this is a good use of governance process nor budget.
We would vote against based on information we have. There are already several such as community calls that covers governance discussions. There's also Alpha Growth that has been working on marketing and communication aspect.

Agree with @Doo_StableLab that there seem to be a strong overlap between this initiative and the work @alphagrowth is doing.
